CraniaLab’s apps “FishName”, “ReefScan”, “ReefBuild”, “The Kalalau Trail” and “Explore Kauai” do not collect any data on any user. There is no processing, collecting, analyzing or sharing of any user data.

The Kalalau Trail does not use the phone camera or GPS at any time.

FishName uses the phone camera to capture and identify images of fish. No data is shared.

Explore Kauai does use both the phone camera and GPS as it is an augmented reality application and it displays a map of the current location. No image data or location data is saved or logged in any manner by the app.

Explore Kauai was developed for use by Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Aquatic Resources. No data is collected for the use of DLNR or DAR.

ReefScan captures image data for use by the user only. No data is kept or shared with CraniaLab or any other entity.

ReefBuild saves completed models locally but does not collect or share and data.
